The project welcomes participants to the training facilities
This month, the Ciudad Deportiva is hosting several 'Escoles Cor Blanquinegre' tournaments, a sports-educational action by the VCF Foundation in collaboration with the Diputació de Valencia council.
On May 21st, 21 students from CEIP IVAF-Luis Fortich (Valencia) and 15 from CEIP Juan XXIII (Torrent) enjoyed the Valencia CF facilities.
Before this, 50 children from CEIP Nuestra Señora del Amparo (Real de Gandia), CEIP Sant Miquel (Lliria) and CEIP Les Arenes (Valencia) had also visited.
Those from Las Cortes Valencianas were able to meet Cristian Rivero, Valencia CF goalkeeper, in person, through Víctor Soler, secretary of the Mesa de les Corts.
The VCF Foundation launched 'Escoles Cor Blanquinegre' nine seasons ago, together with the support of the Valencia council. Each year, 20 schools in Valencia and the surrounding region participate, directly benefiting an average of 300 people and around 3,500 indirectly.
Since the 2015/16 season, coaches from the VCF Academy, VCF Femenino and the VCF Footballers Association have given weekly training sessions to help those responsible for the schools, as an educational tool.
